Slurry pump impeller replacement is complete, and it's crucial to adjust the impeller clearance properly. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to adjust the impeller clearance after replacing the slurry pump impeller:
For more information, please visit our website.
If your pump has a mechanical seal structure, start by resetting the positioning card, and then proceed to loosen the sleeve locking screw.
Follow these steps to accurately adjust the impeller clearance after replacing the slurry pump impeller:
1. If the pump has a mechanical seal structure, initiate the process by resetting the positioning card, then loosen the sleeve locking screw.
2. Loosen the four compression bolts of the bearing assembly.
3. Release the bearing assembly adjusting bolts on the bracket.
4. Start by turning one nut until the impeller makes contact with the guard and is unable to turn (rotate the pump in its operational direction).
5. Gradually adjust the other nut until the impeller turns freely in the pump's rotational direction, ensuring no friction with both the front and rear shields.
6. Finally, secure the adjusting nut to complete the adjustment.
7. Tighten the compression bolts.
8. Secure the bushing locking screw.
9. Lastly, remove the positioning card.

In order to ensure the efficient operation of the pump, it is necessary to adjust the gap between the impeller and the front guard plate in time, the gap between
the metal lined pump impeller and the front guard plate is between 0.5-1mm, and the gap between the rubber lined pump impeller and the front and rear
sheathing should be equal.
When adjusting impeller clearance, first stop the pump, loosen the bolts that press the bearing assembly, twist and adjust the nuts on the bolts, so that the
bearing assembly moves forward, and rotate the shaft by hand in the direction of pump rotation until the impeller fricts with the front protection plate.
For the metal lined pump, loosen the nut just tightened at the front half turn. Then tighten the nut on the front of the adjusting bolt so that the bearing assembly
is moved back, and the clearance between the impeller and the front guard plate is between 0.5-1mm.
For the rubber lined pump, the nut on the bolt is adjusted by screwing, so that the bearing assembly moves forward first, so that the impeller is in contact with
the front sheath, and then the bearing assembly moves backward, so that the impeller is in contact with the rear sheath, and the total contact distance of the
bearing assembly is measured.
This distance is generally used as the clearance between the impeller and the front and rear sheathing, and then the position of the bearing assembly is adjusted
by adjusting bolts to ensure the correct clearance value between the impeller and the front and rear sheathing. After adjustment, before starting again, it is
necessary to re-check whether the impeller rotation is normal.
Bearing assembly compression bolt and adjustment bolt are tightened before starting pump.
SP liquid slurry pump impeller adjustment
The gap between the impeller and the pump body of the SP(R) type pump should be maintained at about 0.5-1mm (the gap can be adjusted by adjusting the
gasket between the bearing seat and the support), so that the pump can operate efficiently.
When the impeller and pump body wear to the point that the performance and efficiency of the pump are seriously reduced, so that they cannot meet the
requirements of use, the worn parts should be replaced.

In order to ensure the efficient operation of the pump, it is necessary to adjust the clearance between the impeller and the front protection plate regularly
(after a period of use, when the current is slowly declining under the same operating conditions) to keep it between 0.75mm and 1.00mm.
The adjustment steps are as follows:
(1) For pumps with open brackets
The clearance between the impeller and the front guard is 0.75mm to 1.00mm, which is generally adjusted before the factory. If the clearance is found not to
meet the requirements, it will be adjusted. If the problem is found in operation, it should be stopped for adjustment.
The pump of the open bracket is adjusted in the following way:
Loosen the clamping nut of the bracket cover;
Loosen the adjusting screw of the bearing box;
Evenly tighten the bearing box compression nut so that the rotor assembly moves in the direction of the pump head, and turn the wheel while tightening
until the disc does not move. Note that the direction of turning should be turned according to the work of the pump.
Measure the clearance δ=a between the bearing box flange and the end face of the bracket with a feeler ruler; At this time, the clearance between the impeller
and the front guard plate is 0.
Loosen the bearing box compression nut;
6 Evenly tighten the adjustment screw of the bearing box, so that the rotor assembly moves in the direction of the motor, and check the clearance with a feeler
until δ= a+ (0.75-1.00) mm (the large pump takes the large value), pay attention to the uniform clearance;
Tighten the bearing box compression nut so that the axial position of the rotor is completely fixed.
(2) Pump for cylinder bracket
The clearance between the impeller and the front guard plate should be 0.75mm -1.00mm, which is generally adjusted before leaving the factory. If the gap is
found not to meet the requirements, it should be adjusted as follows:
Loosen the nut of the bracket pressure plate;
Adjust the screw screw, so that the rotor moves forward, while adjusting the wheel, until the wheel does not move, pay attention to the direction of the wheel
and the steering of the pump is consistent;
Use the needle to mark a straight line on the joint of the bracket and the bobbin;
Adjust the screw nut to make the rotor
