The title of these is so incredibly misleading! You will ruin your marble or granite and have to go to a lot of trouble to repair the damage these can do to well polished marble even if it needs restoration.They are not perfectly flat and due to the fact that polished marble and granite show imperfections easily, the small amount that they are uneven drives the very sharp edges into the stone that can make deep cut marks.I ordered the set with grit and even with absolutely no pressure and "polishing" by hand with a ton of water they took dulled marble and made it honed. That would be a proper label for these since they are incapable of polishing anything but instead could be used to smooth or "hone" marble. A quick internet search reveals that "polish" is the word used by Staeda in their wholesale brochure. Since they're based in China I'm assuming "polished" was just lost in translation.To polish marble/granite but a wool polish pad like these SINLAND 7" 100% Wool Polishing Buffing Pads Self-adhesive Wool Polisher Bonnets 7" POLISHER/BUFFER SOFT WOOL BONNET & PAD with HOOK & LOOP for POLISHING/BUFFING and make sure to have a backer pad if necessary or an adapter for use with a regular drill. 3 inch (75mm) Hook and Loop Backing Pad (with drill attachment), Medium Desity 10mm Foam Layer, Polishing Pad, Sanding Pad . Haven't used these exact items but those are examples of what will work.
