What size for a fab table? Anything you wish you had done?

Tables we use in the shop are:

2x4 tops. I like this size for placing near what we are working on. The tables have receiver tubes so we can add things like a vise.

We have 3x5 for some production welding and light fab works. I TIG weld a lot of fuel tanks at this table. I am replacing it with a 40" x 80" fixture table. I have the top made. I need to get the legs painted and bolted on

In our production welding booths we are replacing the 2x4 tables with 40" x 40" tables. We need some added room on the table surface. Not to mention we are trying to consolidate storage space for fixtures.

We also have a couple 4x8 tables in service around the shop for general welding and fabrication.

We are currently building two 5x10 fixture tables to bolt together for an upcoming project we have to fabricate. We have a mile or so of hand railing to fabricate for a client with another PO to follow for more.

I guess that rounds out what tables we use.
