Runner leaving early rules question

No one seen him or heard him until after a girl hit a laser into left field and the run scored....he seemed to be pretty friendly with their first base coach, more so than umps usually are. Most are easy to talk to but they seemed different to me the whole game.

Reason I asked though was someone mentioned to me after the game that it was the wrong call. I didn't think it was so wanted to check.

I thought it was the right call.
